Glottenham is a historic conservation farm in East Sussex where people can reconnect with nature through beautifully crafted places to stay, seasonal experiences and the stories woven through the landscape.
de Glottyngham
Named after the family who first gave Glottenham its title, de Glottyngham is a handcrafted woodland cabin built to help families and friends slow down and reconnect with nature.
Designed by a local craftsman and built using timber from the surrounding woodland—including wood grown here on the farm—every part of the cabin reflects the landscape that surrounds it. Hidden amongst ancient trees, with a separate sleeping pod, spacious deck and covered woodland kitchen, it's a place where children can build dens, adults can unwind beside the fire, and everyone can rediscover the simple pleasure of being outdoors together.

Experience Glottenham
Reconnect with nature through seasonal experiences inspired by the farm and surrounding woodland. Whether it's gathering around the campfire, exploring the wetlands, learning a traditional craft or joining a guided walk, there's always something to discover.
Rossetti
Named after the poet Christina Rossetti, who stayed at Glottenham while recovering from illness, Rossetti is a peaceful woodland hideaway inspired by the same landscape she described as "a refreshment to sore London eyes."
Tucked amongst the trees, it remains a place to slow down, breathe deeply and rediscover the restorative power of nature.

Bodichon
Named after the pioneering artist and campaigner Barbara Bodichon, who’s family managed Glottenham, this spacious yurt sits at the edge of a wildflower meadow where big skies, spectacular sunsets and open views create a different rhythm to woodland life.
Inside, the circular space is warm, welcoming and beautifully furnished, with a woodburning stove at its heart and an overhead skylight that brings daylight, moonlight and stars into the yurt. Outside, your covered kitchen, firepit and private seating invite long evenings cooking, talking and simply enjoying the peace of the countryside.
Perfect for families, friends or couples, Bodichon offers the simple pleasure of sleeping beneath canvas while enjoying all the comforts that make glamping feel special.

de Etchyngham
Hidden away in its own peaceful corner of the farm, de Etchyngham is a private retreat where contemporary design meets the quiet beauty of the surrounding landscape.
Named after the medieval family who once owned Glottenham, this unique geodome blends mid-century style with the simplicity of life outdoors. Expansive windows frame the changing seasons, while warm timber, vintage furniture and a wood-burning stove create an inviting space to slow down and unwind.
Wake to birdsong, spend the day exploring ancient woodland and wildlife-rich wetlands, then return to cook beneath the covered outdoor kitchen and watch the stars emerge over the valley. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply escaping together, de Etchyngham offers space, privacy and time to reconnect.

Nearly Wild Camping
For a few weeks each summer, we open carefully managed areas of our wildlife-rich wetlands and meadows.
A small number of pitches are generously spaced across the landscape, allowing families, couples and solo campers to enjoy the simple pleasures of campfire cooking, dark skies and waking to birdsong. With ancient woodland, winding streams and open meadows to explore, it's camping as it used to be—peaceful, unhurried and close to nature.
“Oh my goodness. It was amazing! Perfect setting, perfect accommodation, really wonderful weekend. We can't wait to go back!”
