Living gently here
We share this farm with deer, owls, bats, foxes, slow worms, dragonflies and countless other creatures. We simply ask that guests help us care for this special place by leaving no trace, keeping noise to a minimum after dark and respecting the wildlife that calls Glottenham home.
Wildlife
Depending on the season, you may wake to the gentle purring call of our resident turtle dove. He's been returning each summer for the last few years, although he's still searching for a mate. We're sowing wild bird seed plots in the hope she'll find him one day.
You might also see swallows hunting over the meadow, kingfishers flashing along the streams, dragonflies skimming the ponds or a slow worm quietly warming itself beside the vegetable garden.
