Named after the pioneering artist and campaigner Barbara Bodichon, who’s family managed Glottenham, this spacious yurt sits at the edge of a wildflower meadow where big skies, spectacular sunsets and open views create a different rhythm to woodland life.

Inside, the circular space is warm, welcoming and beautifully furnished, with a woodburning stove at its heart and an overhead skylight that brings daylight, moonlight and stars into the yurt. Outside, your covered kitchen, firepit and private seating invite long evenings cooking, talking and simply enjoying the peace of the countryside.

Perfect for families, friends or couples, Bodichon offers the simple pleasure of sleeping beneath canvas while enjoying all the comforts that make glamping feel special.

Inside

Everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a cosy woodburner, fully made up comfortable beds and towels. The cabin is lit by battery lanterns.

Outside

Cook beneath the trees in your covered woodland kitchen, relax on your private deck, gather around the campfire and enjoy the peace of the surrounding woodland.

“in beautiful location. Lovely walk into the local town for shop, bakery and pub that does fab food!! Bodichon Yurt is positioned at the edge of the forest overlooking a meadow where we watched deer, rabbits, pheasants, foxes and an array of different birds. The outdoor shower was wonderful. Our teenage daughters loved it. We live just half an hours drive away, but the beautiful setting meant this was a complete escape - we could have been anywhere...”

Sleep beneath the stars

Mornings begin with birdsong drifting across the meadow and evenings end around the campfire beneath an enormous sky. Watch deer emerge at the edge of the woodland, wander the farm's ancient paths, or simply settle into a chair with a cup of tea and watch the light change across the High Weald. Bodichon is a place to slow down, breathe deeply and enjoy the space around you.

As darkness falls, the central roof light becomes a window onto the night sky, letting you watch the stars from the comfort of your bed.
