Crafted from the woodland

Named after the family who first gave Glottenham its title, De Glottyngham is a handcrafted woodland cabin built to help families and friends slow down and reconnect with nature.

Designed by a local craftsman and built using timber from the surrounding woodland—including wood grown here on the farm—every part of the cabin reflects the landscape that surrounds it. Hidden amongst ancient woodland, with a separate sleeping pod, spacious deck and covered woodland kitchen, it's a place where children can build dens, adults can unwind beside the fire, and everyone can rediscover the simple pleasure of being outdoors together.

Amazing.

“We – mum, dad, 4-year-old and 1-year-old – stayed at the Geodome for a long summer weekend. The kids had an amazing time, running round the woods with sticks, making mud cakes, playing in the field, BBQs, watching the birds and spotting a deer in the field one evening..”

A wonderful experience!

“It’s a magical location and the owners have put a lot of effort into thoughtful touches. We particularly enjoyed the comfy beds, the soft sheepskins on the floor, the open air heated shower, and the cacophony of birdsong... The bushcraft session was a wonderful treat. The whole experience is so clearly a labour of love.. Much appreciated”

We had an absolutely lovely time!

The setting is spectacularly beautiful and the setup of the camp could not have been better. Comfortable and cosy and convenient in every way! The tent was spacious, warm and well-appointed, the kitchen hut and dining table made camp cooking a breeze, and we loved the fire pit for grilling the contents of our delicious hamper. I particularly enjoyed the showers - lashings of hot water with a beautiful view of the sky and trees. Bliss! .”

A place to make memories

De Glottyngham has become one of our most-loved cabins for good reason. Families gather around the campfire, children disappear into the woods to create adventures of their own, and evenings are spent sharing meals beneath the trees. Whether you're spotting deer at dawn, swinging gently in the hammock or simply listening to birdsong from the deck, it's a place where the pace of everyday life quietly slips away.
